Gary Wayne Green, 71 years, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Ray County Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, August 1, 1949, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, the son of the late Vincent and the late Freda (née Porter) Green. Survivors Include: • Vincent Wayne (Mindy) Green, son, of Richmond, Missouri • Katherine (Robert) Beaird, daughter, of Gladstone, Missouri • Traci Ross, daughter, of Kansas City • 9 Grandchildren • 5 great-grandchild • Jim (Joyce) Green, brother, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri • Debbie Cheek, sister, of Lawson, Missouri Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec 6, 2020, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Private Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec 8, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Higginsville Veteran Cemetery. Gary was a very kind-hearted man. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He loved sports and just being outdoors. He would go to watch his grandchildren play in all of their different games: Soccer, Softball, and others. Gary recently came to accept the Lord as his personal savior. The family is grateful for this as they can now be assured he is at peace. Services will be officiated by Jay Bettis.
