Sharon Lee (Gulley) Bush was born on May 3, 1943 in Lawson, Missouri to Roy and Gertrude Gulley. She had four siblings, Gerald Gulley (deceased), Wanda Dusek, Judy Farnan and Rick Gulley. Sharon married Martin Lee Bush in March 15, 2001. She had three children by previous marriages Reverend Terri (Brelsford) Novini, Cynthia Brelsford and John Ware. Sharon’s family enlarged after she married to include a blended family of 4 additional children Christina Mynatt, Janette Bush, Tim Bush and Shawn Bush. Sharon and Martin together have 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Sharon loved her family, church and her Savior, Jesus. She attended Lawson Assembly of God as a young believer and then later Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with her husband and son. She absolutely loved teaching Missionettes and Junior Bible Quiz. She was a road warrior with her missionary daughter traveling to many locations to raise money for missions. She also loved to attend the many gospel events in which her children and grandchildren participated. She was a loyal Royals fan also watching baseball games! Sharon graduated from Lawson High School in 1961. She returned to college later in life receiving an Associates of Arts degree in secretarial science in 1993. She excelled in her degree program earning a Phi Theta Kappa distinction. Sharon passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 7, 2020. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.” Psalms 116:15 Celebration of Life Service for Sharon will be held at Lawson Assembly of God on Thursday, December 10 at 11:30 am in Lawson, Missouri and is open to the public. Pastor Zack Searcy will be officiating. Graveside Service following, Lawson Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
