Norma McCubbin, 89 years, of Lawson, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 24, 2020. She was born on Monday November 9, 1931 in Excelsior Springs Missouri to the late Kenneth Clevenger Sr. and the late Evelyn Clevenger (Cooper). Norma lived a long and joyous life, filled with family and friends. She loved spending time with her family above all else. It didn’t matter what she was doing, as long as she was in the presence of her family you could see her smiling ear to ear. One of her proudest accomplishments was being married to the love of her life, James, for 67 years. Norma was a proud member of Old Union Church in Lawson Missouri. One of her quirks was her love for dolls, collecting them, and even having a room in her house dedicated to them. She could often be found at garage sales, flea markets, or malls, searching for a new doll to collect. Norma traveled the USA with her husband, visiting many different states on vacation. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, Dec 31 from 1:30-2:00 PM at Bethel Cemetery Hwy 13, Knoxville Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec 31 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Survivors include her husband, James McCubbin, four sons; Lory (Tina) McCubbin, Stephen McCubbin, John McCubbin, David (Millie)McCubbin, four grandchildren Tabatha Pryor, Shane McCubbin, Shelby McCubbin, Charity McCubbin, one brother, Kenneth Clevenger Jr, and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Johnson.
