Bowers who was dating a friend of Tom's, after only three days, Tom asked Cheryl to be his wife. He knew he had found his bride. Cheryl and Tom were married on May 27, 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Olympia, Washington by Reverend Ron. Cheryl adored her husband! She enjoyed and cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to play games with them, go on bike rides or just do anything to get out of the house. Cheryl enjoyed traveling with Tom to visit family and see various landmarks along the way. She enjoyed being involved with many church groups and spending time with her church family. She also enjoyed baking. Cheryl was known for her tea cake cookies and made many cakes. She also enjoyed thrift shopping and would stop at any garage sale she could go to. On Sundays she would host a family dinner at their home so that all the grandkids could come over and spend time together for a weekly meal. She also loved to play solitaire.
