Obituary of Bobby Morris

Please share a memory of Bobby to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rev. Bobby Ray Morris, 87, of Lawson, Missouri, passed away March 30, 2021, at home after a long battle with multiple myeloma. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 1, from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, April 2. Both will be held at Lawson Assembly of God church. Brother Morris was born September 10, 1933, in Carlisle, Arkansas. He started preaching at 16 years old. In 1952 he married Olla Mae Campbell, and they moved to Kansas City the following year. In 1960 they came to Lawson as pastors thinking they would only stay for a short while, which turned into 42 years. He retired from Lawson Assembly of God in 2002. After his retirement he worked for many years at various churches in the area. Aside from his love of serving the Lord and serving others, his pride and joy was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elva and Margaret Morris; his brothers, James and Ronnie Morris; and his sister, Rosemary Singleton. Survivors include his wife, Olla Mae; his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Robin Morris; his grandchildren, Vanessa (Morris) and Chris Hill, Lindsey (Morris) and Tom Black; his great grandchildren, Ella Hill, Daphne Hill, Halli Black, Lincoln Hill, Owen Black, and Joelle Black; his sister, Ann Holcomb; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lawson Assembly of God for missionary Bailey Hendricks (El Salvador) to get to the mission field.
