Obituary of Marvin Gene Rowell

Marvin Gene Rowell, 62 years, of Richmond, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital.
He was born on Thursday, February 19, 1959, in Smithville, Missouri, the son of the late Delbert and the late Berniece (née Carpenter) Rowell.
He married Angeline Powell, on July 20, 1985, in Parkville, Missouri. Together they raised one son, Brandon, in Ray County, Missouri. Marvin worked as a Packer for Owens-Corning Fiberglass, in Fairfax, Kansas, retiring from the company in 2000.
Marvin was a cowboy fan, his favorite being John Wayne. He also enjoyed making knives and such for his friends. He was also an avid hunter, deer and turkeys being his favorite. His most beloved thing was spending time with his grandchildren. They were the love of his life.

• Corbin Emory Rowell, grandson, of Rayville, MO
• McKinley Jade Rowell, granddaughter, of Rayville, MO
• Joann (Bob) Berkeen, sister, of Broken Arrow, OK
• Wayne (Della) Rowell, brother, of Gladstone, MO
• Everett (Beth) Rowell, brother, of Lawson, MO
• Rosie (Ernie) Holthouse, sister, of Liberty, MO
• Karen Brooks, sister, of Kansas City, MO
Marvin was preceded in death by:
• Sharon K Rowell, sister
• Leonard Rowell, brother
• David Rowell, brother
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. The Funeral will follow 1:30 PM.
Services will be officiated by Jay Bettis.
Memorial donations may be directed to American Diabetes Association.
