Please share a memory of Bennie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bennie Neal Ealey, 81, of Lawson, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital. Mr. Ealey was born October 19, 1939 in Liberty, Missouri to parents Nellie Blanche (Jacobs) Ealey and James Lester Ealey. He grew up on a farm and had lived in the Liberty, Kearney, Smithville area during his childhood. He was the youngest of 7 boys and attended Liberty High School. In 1956 he joined the Army and served a short term. He met the love of his life, Daisy Sampson, in 1957 and married her on December 5, 1958. Together they raised 3 girls, Christina Marie Ealey, Terry Lyn Ealey and their surprise Hawaii trip baby, Dawn Denice Ealey, who completed their perfect little family. Bennie worked for Kerns Sales and Services for years with his and Mommma's best friends, Norma and Don Kerns. After the Kern's retired the store he went to work for Vile Gollar Fine Arts and was a book binder for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Fishing and hunting were his passions and his love of watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play baseball and soccer was one of his proudest things to do. Bennie and Daisy were always sitting on the porch waving at everyone who came by, they never knew a stranger. He loved getting to see all the animals and fish that his grandkids would bring by to show him after they had been hunting and fishing. This kept his legacy going for him and this was always their first stop after their hunting and fishing trips. He was so very proud of all of his grandbabies and his daughters and sons. But his one and only favorite thing on this Earth was being married to Momma for 62 years. Bennie was preceded in death by his grandparents Parker Jacobs, Emma Housh, Arthur Ealey and Beatrice Lovelady, his parents James Lester Ealey and Nellie Blanche Ealey, his siblings William Walter Ealey, James Parker Ealey, David Daniel Ealey, Harley Washington Ealey, Virgil Jackson Ealey, and Marvin Lee Ealey. Survivors include his wife Daisy Ealey (Sampson) of the home, 3 daughters; Christina Marie Eidson (Jeff), Terry Lyn Whitney, Dawn Denice Brightman (Michael) all of Lawson, 10 grandchildren; Justin Eidson, Tiffany Jones, Kelly-Lyn Bingham, Wesley Whitney, Brittany Richardson, Skylar Brightman, Peyton Brightman, Garrett Brightman, Harley Brightman, and Teagan Brightman, and 10 great grandchildren; Trinity McNeely, C.J.
