Kenneth Alex Thompson "Kenny", 66, of Lawson, Missouri died peacefully on July 10, 2021 after a battle with lung cancer. Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Lakeview Event Center, Lawson, Missouri. Mr. Thompson was born on June 19, 1955. Kenny grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and attended North Kansas City schools. He was funny and kind and always ready to enjoy a good joke. He knew no strangers. He loved all animals and never met a dog that didn't love him. He could cook a "mean" steak. Kenny lived with his wife Anne for 19 years in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and moved to Lawson in August of 2020. He retired from Convoy Systems in November of 2020 as an over the road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his mother Joanna Thompson and father William V. Thompson, Sr. Kenny is survived by his wife and companion of 23 years Anne Thompson, his brother William V. Thomspon, III, daughter Joanna Gieski and Kena Guiterrez, step-daughter Jeanette Shilts and Jessica Condron, and step-sons Jarod Hribar, James Hribar and Joshua Hribar. He was a proud grandfather to 16 grandcdhilre and 12 great-grandchildren. They will all miss "Grandpa Kenny."
