Shirley K (Harp) Maples, 80 years, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, with her children by her side. She was born on Friday, June 6, 1941, in Richmond, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and the late Gertrude (née Hatfield) Harp. She was the youngest daughter of seven children. Shirley married James Maples, Jr, on December 20, 1974, and lived in Liberty, Missouri until they retired to Grove, Oklahoma, in August of 1999. Shirley's greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She enjoy sitting on her porch, watching the hummingbirds, and watching her children and their families playing on the lake. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley is preceded in death by: • 3 brothers • 3 sisters Survivors Include: • Denise (Larry) Murphy, daughter, of Excelsior Springs, MO • Robert (Gail) Martin, son, of Grove, OK • Julie (Jerry) Dixon, daughter, of Olathe, KS • Tammy Motley, daughter, of Cameron, MO • Robin (Ron) Marrant, of Missouri City, MO • Venus (Bob) Hilton, step-daughter, of Coffeeville, KS • Ron (Sheila) Maples, step-son, of Saint Paul, KS • Lee Clark, step-son, of Olathe, KS • Jim (Annette) Maples, III, step-son, of Smithville, MO • 27 grandchildren • over 30 great-grandchildren • several great-great-grandchildren • Kate Harp, Sister-In-Law, of Cameron, MO Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Funeral will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Olympus Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma, Friday, July 23, 2021, at 11am.
