Rita Kay (Stallcup) Alvarado, passed away Monday, July 27, 2021. Rita Kay Stallcup was born June 26, 1948 in Upton, MO, to John Vernon Stallcup and Thelma “Sim” Norene (Campbell) Stallcup. She grew up in Texas County, Missouri. After high school, she moved to Kansas City and married Michael Ray Barker. Together, they had two children: Timothy and Katricia. After they divorced, she worked at Trans World Airlines/American Airlines until her retirement. Tony and Rita (Stallcup) Barker married in 1980, and together, they raised two children Timothy and Katricia. God and family were their greatest joys in life. They were both selfless and always tried to help others. They will be greatly missed by family and friends. Rita is survived by her brothers Ronald (Dixie) Stallcup and Jerry (Trudy) Stallcup, two children: Katricia (Randy) Leach and Tim (Michelle) Barker; and grandchildren: Nicholas Blackwell, Joelle and Preston Barker, Dylan Leach, Lucas (Katie) Leach, as well as two great-grandsons. Rita was preceded in death by her parents John and Thelma Stallcup and sister, Karen (Joe) Gallucci.
