Kenneth (Kenny) Dean Kamman passed away on August 6, 2021 surrounded by family at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Kenny was born October 11, 1946, to Delbert C. Kamman and Erroll M. Howard in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Kenny grew up in southwest Iowa and graduated from Farragut High School in 1965. Kenny served in the US Air Force with an honorable discharge in 1970. He attended Peru State Teachers College and graduated in 1973. After High School Kenny married Renee Y. Hinman on November 26, 1966 and together had three children: Timothy D. Kamman, Jessica R. Kamman and Nathan A. Kamman and later divorced. After college, Kenny taught High School History, Social Studies, Drivers Education, and PE as well as coaching Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Track in both Iowa and Nebraska. He later relocated with his family to the Kansas City, Missouri area and worked for the Social Security Administration. He went to work for DWF Wholesale Florist in the 1990’s and later retired from there. Kenny enjoyed fishing, Dodgers Baseball and college sports of all kinds, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved to golf and regularly got his butt kicked by his younger brother Danny but was always a good sport about it. He had a love for frozen custard and always had a Pepsi in his hand. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Delbert C. Kamman and Erroll M. Howard; his youngest son Nathan A. Kamman and a host of other family members. Kenny is survived by his children Timothy D. Kamman, Jessica R. LaFavor (Brian); grandchildren Kyle and Cassidy Taylor (Jessica); Joseph Lee and Alex Goree (Nathan); brothers Stephen L. (Patsy) and Danny R. (Elizabeth) Kamman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenny had a strong sense of honor and patriotism and was proud to have served in United States Air Force. He was always active in celebrating the men and women who served this great nation. Kenny built lasting relationships with those he was in school with and throughout his working years. He never let go of a friend. Even though Kenny was so passionate about sports and other hobbies, nothing was more important to him than his family and beloved pets. He was a great father, brother, and son. A gathering for family and close friends will be held immediately following the inurnment at: 16066 Oak Rd Excelsior Springs, MO 64024
