Ron will be remembered by all who knew him for his love of family and his willingness and generosity in helping others. Ron was born on Friday, April 21, 1961, to Father Leo and Mother Minnie (née Akiu) Davis in Long Beach, California, the oldest of 4 children. After graduating in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Ron worked as a Machinist. Ron married Pam Epley and became father to 2 sons, Kyle and Korey Davis. Ron then worked as a Pressman for 15 years, before starting his own Carrier Service delivering freight throughout the Kansas City Area for 20 years. Ron was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his sons teaching them practical skills about everything from auto mechanics and engine overhauls to home maintenance and building skills. Ron gained a new zeal for life when he became a grandfather. He loved to spend time with his 7 grandchildren, taking them camping, biking, swimming and even had a weekly sleepover where he would take them for ice cream and play games. At age 58, Ron retired after the loss of his father to help care for his aged mother who became ill with dementia. He stayed with her several days a week, never missing a single week. He made sure his grandchildren got to know his mother by spending time together, bringing her much joy. Ron leaves behind his former spouse Pam Davis, his children Kyle (Stevie) Davis of Kansas City, MO, Korey Davis of Gladstone, MO, his grandchildren Marley Davis, Rooney Davis, Ryder Davis, Carson Davis, Beck Davis, Sawyer Davis,and Myla Davis his mother Minnie Davis of Excelsior Springs, MO, brother Mark (Katie) Davis of Wood Heights, MO, Teresa (Jeff) Rice of Lawson, MO, Sherri (Alex) of Kona, HI. Graveside Service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11 am for family. A Public Funeral Service via ZOOM will be scheduled over the next couple of weeks, time and date will be posted soon.
