Ron Eugene Buchanan, 51, of Liberty, Missouri passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021 at Liberty Hospital, with his daughters by his side. A service will be held at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Liberty on October 23, 2021. Ron was born November 19, 1969 in Independence, Missouri to Carl and Patsy Buchanan. Ron was an incredibly hard worker, who worked hard for his daughters up until his very last day. He was employed as a semi-truck driver for FedEx Freight for over 26 years. Ron also worked as a reserve Sheriff Deputy in McDonald County, Missouri for 21 years. He was a carpenter, electrician, plumber and overall handyman by trade. Ron took pride in his work and made a point to build relationships with everyone he came in contact with. He was a beloved son, brother, father and friend. He was both compassionate and sarcastic; a man who was always making people laugh at his bad jokes, inappropriate comments and never ending opinions. Ron was full of life and everything he did, he did to the fullest. He will be missed beyond measure. Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Buchanan; and uncle, Charles “Buck” Sharp. Survivors include his daughter, Shelby (Dakota) Allen; daughter, Riley Buchanan; father, Carl Buchanan; brother, Michael Buchanan; sister, Deanna Holik; aunt, Nancy Sharp; cousin, Peggy Sharp; nephew, Brendan Buchanan; niece, Lauren (Rob) Valden; niece, Lindsey (James) Grimes; and the many friends he loved dearly. Ron’s wish was to be cremated. His ashes will be buried by his mother’s at Friendship Cemetery, near Ravenden, Arkansas. The honorary pallbearers are Doug Zimmer, James “Jim” Wright, David McEntire and Victor Pereira.
