Gary Lee Sexton, 64, of Liberty, passed away on Monday November 15, 2021 He was born on Friday May 10, 1957 in Excelsior Springs, the son of the late James and Wilma (née Armstrong) Sexton. An avid outdoorsman, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Well liked by his colleagues, Gary worked at Paccor for more than 30 years. Recently retired, he loved spending time at his hunting cabin and land known as "The Wild Meridian" in northern Missouri. A near state record and claim-to-fame, the heaviest largemouth bass in the state of Missouri was pulled out of a pond by Gary and his cousin David at The Wild Meridian, weighing in at 13lbs and 15oz. A recurring visitor to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Gary rode his Harley all over the Midwest. Champion beard grower, many wouldn't recognize him without facial hair. Gary was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks. Gary loved being a grandpa, and great uncle and would light up when visiting with the kiddos. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Nov 20 at 3:00 PM at Windy Hill Cemetery.
