Dessie Nell Hubbard Earle, 99 of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully December 5, 2021 at Valley Manor Residential Care Facility in Excelsior Springs, MO. Dessie was born November 16, 1922 in Jacksonville FL to John Will Hubbard and Effie Mae Cone, and raised by and adopted by her loving grandmother Nellie Lucrectia Cone (“Other Mother”). Dessie attended Landon High School in Jacksonville, FL and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX. She was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 25 years prior to retirement. Dessie is survived by her daughters Debra Ann Buzard (Robert) of Kearney, MO and Dessie Dorthea Meltzer (Ed Rosales) of Alachua, FL, her grandchildren Ken Windler (Kara), Aaron Meltzer (Cori), Elise Spahr (Kyle), Katherine Buzard, and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two younger brothers Will Robert Hubbard and Roy Hubbard, her son David F. Earle III, her daughter Diane Earle Windler (Gary), and her Grandson Brian Robert Buzard. Dessie’s passion was traveling, gardening and reading and enjoyed all three after retiring. A tribute to Dessie’s life will be held At the Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney MO, January 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Later, her ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean near her beloved birthplace, Jacksonville, FL.
