Ruby Elizabeth Gunn, 77 years, of Holt, passed away on Thursday January 20, 2022 in Kansas City Missouri. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home, 925 E. State Route 92, Kearney. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Jan 25 from 11:00-12:00 PM at Holt United Methodist Church, 130 Church Street, Holt, Missouri. Ruby was born in Putnam County Missouri. She was united in marriage to her husband Walter Thomas Gunn on December 18, 1962 and had been happily married for 59 years. To this union, 3 children were born. Ruby was a homemaker, and did so with pride and expertise. She was an avid volunteer at Holt United Methodist Church and in her community. Ruby was passionate about her family and home. She loved family gathering and taking care of her home. She was a fabulous cook and loved cooking meals for all occasions. Ruby loved to camp, especially with family. She loved playing cards, board games, and dominos. Another joy of Ruby’s was the tradition of siblings weekend which they made a tradition back in 2012. She is survived by her husband, Walter Gunn, daughter Teresa (John) Moore, two sons; Kent (Tracy) Gunn, Russ (Stacey) Gunn, grandchildren; Alesia (Anthony) Coffman, Lindsey (Jarod) Rowley, Josh Moore, Calvin Gunn, Lauren Gunn, Tommy Gunn, Dusty Gunn, Toby Gunn, Elsy Gunn, great grandchildren; Peyton Coffman, Garrett Coffman, Aubrey Coffman, Logan Rowley, Brendon Rowley, Spencer Rowley, two sisters; Virginia Thatcher, and Lois Pfeiffer. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; Alva and Alma Wendt and many siblings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holt United Methodist Church.
