Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kenneth “Kenny” Edwin O’Dell, 77, of Holt, MO passed away after a courageous fight with Cancer on March 8th, 2022. Kenny was born on December 9, 1944, in Portsmouth, VA to Kenneth and Juanita O’Dell. He was united in marriage to his wife Ann (Coble) on June 27, 1962, was happily married for 59 years. To this union 2 children were born, Mark and Marie. Kenny worked at Kenworth for 11 years. After leaving Kenworth, he started his own plumbing business, K. O’Dell Plumbing for the next 28 years. In March of 2002 Kenny then started the job he loved the most at Hampton Plumbing, along the side of his best friend, Larry Hampton. Kenny is survived by wife Ann and two children, Mark O’Dell (Angel) of Holt and Marie O’Dell-Bowman (Paul) of Smithville. Grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Justin) of Lathrop, Bryce Roberts (Amanda) of Edgerton, Kaegen Roberts (Erin) of Liberty, MO and William Heishman of Holt. Kenny adored his great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Veda and Brix. Other survivors are his sister, Karen Moore of Excelsior Springs and numerous nieces and nephews that loved their “Uncle Kenny”. Kenny loved his family, golf, guns and tinkering in his shop and he excelled at everything he did. He was well respected by his peers and was not only a master plumber and carpenter but was a true craftsman. If there was ever a need for his help, he not only knew the solution, and he was there to help to the end. Kenny worked and served every day of his life, with Christ like love. His greatest joy was helping his kids and grandkids with endless projects. His countless number of selfless acts of kindness will never be unnoticed and his moto “never give up” will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
