Richard (RocknRick) Russell Patterson, age 61 of Lawson Mo passed away April 14th, 2022 at home. Celebration of Life and Memorial Jam will be held Sunday May 22, 12PM - 4PM at BB's Lawnside BBQ, 1205 E 85th St, Kansas City, Mo. Rick was born October 10th, 1960 in Kansas City, Mo. Rick married Charlene Ferguson Durham July 4, 2016 He was proceeded in death by Father D. Russell Patterson, Mother Sharon Hayden Patterson and Brother Christopher L. Patterson Survivors include Wife Charlene Patterson of the home and many other loved ones. Kansas City Blues musician/songwriter and founder of the Kansas City Blues Preservation Services in 2011. Rick Patterson was dedicated to promoting and providing education about the heritage and legacy of musicians and entertainers from the Kansas City area. To honor their contributions to music history, he helped provide grave markers to acknowledge our forgotten, poverty-stricken Blues musicians and for others in dire need of medical funding and support. Rick never met a stranger and was always ready to serve his fellow musician.
