Troy Daniel Gernhart, 47, Excelsior Springs, Mo. passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 in his sleep. There will be a celebration of life Saturday, June 18 at 6pm at the Elms Hotel and Spa, located in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Troy was born December 23, 1974 in Kansas City, Mo. He was the son of Dawn Gernhart and Ace "Poppy" Wheeler, who raised him together. Troy married Amber Gernhart, his wife of 21 years, June 15, 2001. Troy had four children. Survivors include Amber Gernhart of the home, two sons Montana Gernhart, his wife Morgan and daughters Emerson and Laina, Landon Gernhart, his wife Mercedes and their daughter Kaliyah, and two daughters Alysha Gernhart, and Angelina Gernhart. Troy is also survived by two siblings Eric Wheeler, his wife Brandy and children Kaylee and Auston, Haley Wheeler and children Anthony, Conner, and Payton, and 17 nieces and nephews, all of whom said he was the best Uncle! Troy loved his family very much and will be missed greatly! Memorial contributions can be made to the family in the care of Amber Gernhart.
