Obituary of Danae Ella Hubbard

Please share a memory of Danae to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Danae Ella Hubbard, 21, of Kearney, Missouri, went to Heaven unexpectedly on May 22, 2022. Ella was born September 18, 2000, in Kearney and has lived there her entire life. She was born with beautiful red hair, hazel eyes, and a calm spirit. A lover of music at a young age, she took piano, voice, and dance lessons and would hum songs most of the day. Amazingly talented at drawing, she would spend hours on her artwork. She had a very sweet personality, concerned for others’ feelings, and made friends everywhere she went. She treated others as she longed to be treated and would do anything for her friends, family, and strangers. Intelligent and funny, Ella was so much fun to be with. She was a student at Academy of Hair Design and Beauty in Smithville, Missouri and worked at Beauty Brands in Liberty, Missouri. She made many friends there. And finally, her last act of kindness was to be an organ donor where she will save seven lives this week. This is Ella, you would have LOVED her. Ella is preceded in death and now in the loving company of her paternal grandfather, Pastor Richard Hubbard, maternal grandparents Donald and Betty Hartel, and Aunt Linda Hartel. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Richard and Ruthie Hubbard, four siblings Darcie and her husband Cole Lewis and their son Archer, Dayla Hubbard, Dee Hubbard, Nathaniel Hubbard, and paternal grandma Dee Hubbard along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Ella struggled for five years with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. She was taking prescription medications and attending weekly therapy, yet she still sought short periods of peace. She would sometimes self-medicate with illegal drugs. ONE OF THESE TOOK HER LIFE. These drugs are DANGEROUS, do not buy, sell, or take them! Share Ella’s story. Instead of drugs, use the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Hotline 1-800-662-4357 In leu of flowers or gifts, we request that you donate to Ella’s therapy team at the Lilac Center, 2029 Buchanan St., North Kansas City, MO 64116.
