On Friday, June 26, 2020, Vera Lucille Casteel, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 85; just one day shy of her 86th birthday. A visitation for Vera will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 12:00pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Lawson, Missouri with service beginning at 1:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, Missouri. Ms. Casteel was born in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas. She is survived by her children, Debra (Jackson), Danny (Annie), David (Cathy), Dale (Debbie), Dwight, Dwayne, Lloyd Darin (Carol); her sisters, Eva Marie, Nina and Francis. Vera will forever be remembered by her numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Vera enjoyed being a homemaker, quilting, and her genealogy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Lloyd, her first husband, Jessie Lee Morrison, her parents Roy and Ruby (Chandler) Hallmark, her step father Darrell Abraham, her brother John Glen and her two sisters, Nellie and Fern.
