Dorthea Rayshelle Lashawn Lee, 46, of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 11:30-1:00pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, 5951 MO-10. A private family funeral will follow at 1:00pm, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Burial will be directly after funeral service at Windy Hill Cemetery. Dorthea was born April 16, 1974, in Elyria, OH. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Carter and Sabrina J. Jones. In 1987, she moved to Excelsior Springs where she then graduated in 1993. She went on to recieve her Master's of Education at The University of Missouri Kansas City in 2005. Although, in February of 2013 she was diagnosed with Breast cancer, Dorthea overame that fight and was cancer free in 2015. She married her elementary school sweetheart Ian Michael Lee on March 29, 2019 at Kansas City, Missouri. She is survived by her husband: Ian Michael Lee, two daughters: Dashiza Jordan and Niya Lee, and one son DeAndre (Ericka) Jordan, her sister: Ashia Jones, two brothers Terence and Jody Jordan, and her two grandchildren: Alivia Jordan and Keira Hughes Dorthea was preceded in death by her Son, Tavon Tyree Deshawn Jordan
