Obituary of Terry Rodgers

Terry L. Rodgers, 68, of Independence, Missouri passed away on August 15, 2020. A visitation will be held at 10:30AM, August 21, 2020 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney. Celebration of Life services will begin at 11:30AM, August 21, 2020 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney. A graveside service will immediately follow the Celebration of Life at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Mr. Rodgers was born on August 21, 1951.
Terry worked at Lake City Ammunition Plant for 30 years before he retired. He was a member of the United States Air Force for 6 years and played on the traveling baseball team through the Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, loved football, baseball, and basketball. Terry always liked to have his truck washed and loved having a beautiful yard. In his younger days he also enjoyed coaching sports. Terry was proud to be a cancer survivor of 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and wife Mary C. Rodgers.
Survivors include his wife Glendia Rodgers, children; Michele (Jason) West, Christine (Chris) Fulton, Matt Rodgers, James (Charla) Webb, David (Katie) Webb, grandchildren; Jason, Kristian, Amalea, Andrue, Kaylee, Dylan, Alyvea, Austin, Lincoln, Saleen, Jazzilyn, Coleson, and Brooke, one great grandchild Joslyn, siblings; Nikki Larson, Christina Hanken, Nan Rodgers, Joe Rodgers, and Chad Rodgers.
