Bertha Mae Trotter, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 24, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. Mrs. Trotter was born on June 2, 1931 in Grand Pass, Missouri. Bertha married her love, Lloyd, on May 25, 1949. She spent 40 years raising her family in Southern California before moving back to Kansas City. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her world and they loved every minute spent with their Grammy. Bert was known for her love of pie and coffee, anything blue and her famous fudge she made at Christmas time. She will be so missed, but her family takes great comfort knowing she is dancing in Heaven with the love of her life again. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Edward Trotter, sisters Mary Ellen Smith and Rose Nettie Murray, and her parents Charles and Geraldine Smith. Survivors include her children; Sharon (John) Wismer of San Diego, CA, Jacqueline (Kevin) Coldren of Kansas City, MO, Theresa (Stephen) Staudinger of Buckeye, AZ, and Elwood (Lynette) Trotter of Kansas City, MO, seven grandchildren; Joel Wismer, Kristopher Wismer, Madeline (Coldren) Laun, Max Coldren, Mathew Staudinger, Allison Lares, and Ayden Sauer, nine great-grandchildren; Lennox Lee Laun, Hendrix Scott Laun, Lincoln Alexander Coldren, Chloe Renee Coldren, Tessa Naomi Staudinger, Ellie Reanne Staudinger, Kaylee Marie Lares, Jocelyn Nicole Lares, and Juliette CoCo Wismer.
