Scott Mckenzie Griese, 30, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in Excelsior Springs Missouri. Visitation will be Monday, October 5, 2020, from 11-12pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney, 925 MO-92, Kearney, MO. The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney. Scott was born October 25, 1989, in Aurora, IL. He is the son of Steven Edward Griese and Angelia Faye Harms. Even though Scotty lived in Excelsior Springs, he truly felt that his home was in Kearney. Scott was an avid reader, who loved to interpret and share his brand of philosophy. A caring man who put his family and friends before himself. He took pride in the fact that he took upon himself to further his education. He loved and excelled at his chosen profession, and was well respected by his coworkers and friends. Scott impacted the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He had an ability to make you think of the unthinkable, to make you dream of what could be possible, that was his gift he shared with those he loved most He is survived by his father Steven Edward and mother Angelia(Jeremy) Harms, brother of two brothers: Steven Griese and Sammy Harms, grandparents; Janie Griese, Fran West, Bob West, one uncle: Steve Harms, his girlfrend, Kaitlyn Meisberger, his closest friends: Max Villines, Jennifer Hogan, Craig Nuckles, Amanda Perry, Mike Barr, Danielle Griese.
