William Paul Wolfgang, 77 years, of Excelsior Springs, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020, at Liberty Hospital. He was born on Wednesday, February 3, 1943, in Brookline, Massachusetts, the son of the late Richard and the late Adeline Wolfgang. Bill married Janet Thunberg, on April 24, 1976; together they had one daughter, Heidi. Janet preceded Bill in death on October 4, 2004. Bill ran a successful security company in Massachusetts, where he helped train K9 units for police forces. He could often be found working and helping around the area. He assisted at St Ann Catholic Church and the Bonuchi Sports Center pool, as well as many other places. He was always helpful and giving wherever he could. Bill loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals. But most of all, he enjoyed watching Heidi in her sports, gymnastics, and pretty much everything she did. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors Include: • Heidi Sandra Wolfgang of Atlanta, Georgia; • George Stuart, best friend, of Missouri; In addition to his wife, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Wolfgang, who died at about 6 months of age.
