Obituary of Norman Happy

Norman Happy, 88 years, of Excelsior Springs, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020. He was born on Sunday, November 13, 1932 in Rayville, Missouri, the son of the late Robert Happy, and the late Eula (née Turnage) (Happy) Profitt. He married Elizabeth Miller on September 11, 1954. Survivors Include: • Elizabeth Happy, wife, of Lawson • Shelley and Jason Kincaid, daughter, of Platte City • Robert Happy, brother, of Excelsior Springs • Emogene Whitten, sister, of Omaha • Derek Kincaid, grandson, of Platte City • Austin Kincaid, grandson, of Platte City • Linda (Ernie) Owens, Step-sister • Alice (Richard) Osborn, Step-sister • Maryann Allard, Step-sister He is preceded in death by: • Robert Profitt, step-father • Monte Happy, son • John Whitten, brother-in-law • Fred Allard, Step-brother-in-law Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov 20, 2020, from 11:00 Am to 12:30 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs; Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Nov 20, 2020, at 12:30 PM at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Burial will follow at 1:30p at Richmond Memory Gardens. Norman was an avid bowler, bowling up to four times a week before the pandemic hit. He enjoyed woodworking, making shelves, picture frames, and other wood projects. He enjoyed the outdoors and was known for mowing several neighbors' yards. He always played sports with the children, often coaching their teams. He never missed an opportunity to see one of his daughter's games. He enjoyed farming and taking care of the cows they raised. He would travel to Branson with his wife at least once a month. He was very generous and enjoyed helping people. He enjoyed the time with his church family and the fellowship they provided. Norman was a great "paw-paw" and enjoyed going to his grandson's games. Services will be officiated by Dennis Whitfield. Memorial donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
