Terry Lyn Whitney, 59, of Lawson, Missouri passed away Monday, July 19th, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital. Terry was born on Wednesday, December 27, 1961, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to Daisy Marie Ealey (Sampson) and the late, Bennie Neal Ealey. She was the second of three daughters and was lovingly nicknamed Bo. She grew up and lived in the Excelsior Springs, Lawson area. In 1980, she graduated from Lawson High School. Terry married Richard Dale Whitney in 1981 and welcomed her daughter, Tiffany, in 1983 and her son, Wesley, in 1986. Terry worked multiple jobs throughout her life. She was very proud of her work at the Lawson Drive-In and Ferrellgas but finished her life with a fulfilling career as a seamstress at Alterations and Custom Sewing, where she worked for over 20 years. Terry knew how to enjoy what mattered to her most. Her favorite thing was spending time with her grandkids. She loved visiting with family and making memories that she would often scrapbook. Crafts were her passion; this was showcased on a birthday or during Christmas when she would crochet personalized blankets that were always cherished, well received gifts. She never turned down a fun night out at the theater watching the latest scary movie, and was a regular customer of El Maguey, where the wait staff had her order memorized. Any who knew her were also very aware of her avid love of Elvis Presley and his iconic music. Terry was preceded in death by her well loved grandparents and her father, Bennie Neal Ealey. Terry is survived by her mother Daisy Marie Ealey, older sister, Christina Marie Eidson and husband Jeff, younger sister Dawn Denice Brightman and husband Michael, daughter Tiffany Nicole Jones and husband Jamie, son Wesley- Aaron Neal Whitney, granddaughter Trinity Daisy McNeely, grandsons; Carlton Gregory Lyon and Henry Allen Jones, 7 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 great-nieces, and 3 great-nephews.
